Masry kick-started their Confederation Cup campaign with a 4-0 thrashing of Zambia's Green Buffaloes in the competition's round of 64 first-leg at Port-Said Stadium on Saturday.
Playing their first game on their home stadium since the February 2012 disaster, Masry were lifted by first-half goals from Islam Salah and Aristide Bance before another two from Mohamed Koffi and Islam Eissa on 52 and 81 minutes respectively gave them a comfortable win.
Salah headed his side in front in the 14th minute, before Burkina Faso striker Bance smashed home from inside the area on 38 minutes.
Another Burkinabe in Koffe headed home from inside the area after the break, as Eissa completed the rout with a one-on-one effort following a counter by the hosts.
Hossam Hassan's Masry visit the Zambians for the return leg in 10 days' time.
