Essam El-Hadary is training will Egyptian club Maqassa and still refusing to return to his Sudanese club, Merriekh.

The Pharaohs’ long-time keeper involved Ittihad El-Shorta in his dispute with Merriekh after he broke FIFA regulations by training with the club and playing for them in a friendly.

Merriekh filed a complaint to FIFA about the former Ismaily and Zamalek player because he refused to attend training, whilst El-Hadary insists it was because he hadn’t been paid.

El-Hadary played an instrumental role in helping Egypt win three successive African titles but has endured constant problems since leaving Egyptian champions Ahly in an acrimonious manner in 2008.
