Egyptian champion Amr Shabana defeated the new world number one James Willstrop on Saturday to reach the final of the World Series.
The four-time World champion beat the Englishman 2-0 (13/11 and 11/5) to set up Gregory Gaultier showdown in the final game.
“Amr was the best player in the world a few years ago and now I believe he is back. He looked very sharp today and beat the world number one, so I’ll have to be at my best,” says Gaultier.
The Frenchman defeated Karim Darwish in the other semi-final 2-0 (11/5, 11/5).
