Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah won the Puskas award for his amazing goal against Everton in the Premier League last season.

He out-muscled his challenger on the right, tricked another inside the area and sent a trademark curling shot beyond the despairing dive of Everton keeper Jordan Pickford.

"I thank everybody who voted for me and I am looking to win another title tonight," Salah said after receiving the trophy.

Unfortunately he was dropped from The Best FIFA's FIFpro World XI as Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Eden Hazard were the selected forwards.

Also he came at the third place in the best player category as Modric won the prize. The Croatian won 29.05% of the votes ahead of Ronaldo (19.08%) and Salah (11.23%).

Modric - who won the Champions League in May before leading Croatia to their first ever World Cup final in July - praised Salah and said he has years to come to win the title.
