Egypt's Ahly will miss regulars Saad Samir and Amr El-Sulaya when they host Algerian side ES Setif in the first leg of the African Champions League semi-final on Tuesday.
Central defender Samir and holding midfielder El-Sulaya were left out of Ahly's squad for the game as they still nurse their respective injuries.
However, the team welcome back promising playmaker Nasser Maher, who recently fell out of favour with Ahly's coach Patrice Carteron after taking part in a futsal game without the Frenchman's consent.
Ahly host Setif at Cairo's Al-Salam Stadium on Tuesday. The second leg will take place in Algeria on 23 October.
The Red Devils are eyeing their first Champions League crown since winning the last of their record eight titles in 2013.
