Ahly's key midfielder Amr El-Sulaya and stand-in striker Marwan Mohsen have been declared fit to play against Ittihad of Alexandria in the Egyptian Premier League on Sunday.

Mohsen, who usually plays second-fiddle to Moroccan marksman Walid Azaro, has been out of action since suffering an injury during Egypt's 6-0 hammering of Niger in an African Nations Cup qualifier on 8 September in Alexandria, where he scored the opening goal for the Pharaohs.

Central midfielder El-Sulaya has also missed several games, including Ahly's 2-0 home victory over Algeria's ES Setif in the first leg of the African Champions League semi-final on Tuesday.

"El-Sulaya joined Ahly's Friday's training session and he is fit for the game against Ittihad of Alexandria," Ahly's doctor Khaled Mahmoud told reporters after Friday's training session.

Azaro also shook off a minor injury he picked up against Setif and will be available for the Ittihad game, the club said.

The Cairo giants are currently seventh in the league table with 11 points after playing only five games. They still have three games in hand due to their participation in the Champions League.
