Ahly assistant coach Mohamed Youssef has said that key striker Walid Azaro will join the team’s squad in Dubai ahead of the clash against Emirati team Al-Wasl in the Zayed Champions Cup round 16’s second leg on Thursday.
The 23-year-old Moroccan is currently on international duty in his home country, who will face Tunisia in a friendly on Tuesday.
“Azaro will join the team in the UAE after the end of the Moroccan national team camp,” Youssef said.
The Red Devils will be on the back foot when they face off with the Emirati side, after a 2-2 draw in the first leg in Alexandria on 28 October. The team are hoping for a return to their winning ways following the loss of the CAF Champions League title to Tunisia’s Esperance.
