Egyptian winger Ahmed Elmohamady may miss Sunderland’s trip to Aston Villa on Wednesday as he is still suffering from dizziness.

“There’s a small concern for Elmohamady ahead of Villa game, as well as Gyan. It’s just a case of waiting 24 hours and we’ll take a look and see how they are then,” coach Steve Bruce told the club’s official website on Tuesday.

The 23-year old international player had to quit Blackburn’s game just before the end as he fell awkwardly and landed on his head.

Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan strained his hamstring and picked up a toe injury during the game too.

Meanwhile Elmohamady snatched another Star Man award as the Sunderland fans chose him the man of the match after his performance against Blackburn.

He had a major contribution in his side’s 3-0 win as he set up Danny Welbeck and Darren Bent to score the first two goals.

The former Enppi and Ghazl El-Mahala player dominates the safc.com poll since the beginning of the season as he won the Star Man award nine times accumulating 140 points, 62 ahead of second-placed Simon Mignolet.
