Zamalek football supervisor Amir Mortada Mansour announced on Monday that the club won't sell key players during the ongoing winter transfer window, despite receiving an offer from big spender Turki Al-Sheikh, owner of Pyramids FC.

After the superb performance from Zamalek's midfielder Tarek Hamed and defender Abdallah Gomaa during the 3-3 draw with Pyramids in the Egyptian Premier League, Al-Sheikh has stepped up his interest in signing the duo.

"We don't intend to offload midfielder Tarek Hamed and defender Abdallah Gomaa," Mansour was quoted as saying by the club's official website.

"We also have no intention of releasing any key player from the team's squad during the ongoing winter transfer window despite the temptations," the Zamalek football supervisor added.

"Our target is to save the squad's harmony to continue competing in all African tournaments as well as achieving the domestic titles this season," he said.

Zamalek are in driving seat of the Egyptian Premier league table on 42 points, three points above second-placed Pyramids and 12 points ahead of arch-rivals and title-holders Ahly, who have played two games less.
