Egyptian squash stars Nour El Sherbini and Ali Farag have completed the semi-finals line-up of the men and women’s PSA World Championships in Chicago on Friday.

Two-time champion and world number two El Sherbini needed 31 minutes to beat world number ten Tesni Evans of Wales 3-0 (11-7, 11-5 and 11-7).

"Tesni’s been playing well so I knew it would be tough. She was coming back in the third but I managed to finish it off," El Sherbini said after the game.

"I’m happy with how I played and looking forward to the semi-finals," she added.

In the men's draw, Egyptian star and world number two Farag faced a tough mission to beat world number seven Paul Coll of New Zealand 3-1 (11-8, 11-7, 4-11 and 11-1) in 57 minutes.

"Tough, very tough. We’ve played in the last three events and he gets fitter and smarter each time," Farag said.

"He played very well, never gave me anything. He spent a lot of time in front of me, but thanks to Nour I was able to adjust my game a little," the Egyptian squash star added.
