Egypt's football star Mohamed Salah did not need to go to the hospital for treatment after sustaining a head injury in Liverpool's thrilling 3-2 victory over Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday.

Salah was stretchered off in the 73rd minute after his head clashed with the legs of Newcastle keeper Martin Dubravka.

beIN Sports said the 26-year-old remained in the dressing room with Liverpool's medics, hinting that the injury was not serious.

Salah put Liverpool 2-1 up on 28 minutes to take his tally to 22 goals on top of the Premier League scoring chart, two ahead of teammate Sadio Mane and Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
