Egypt were dealt their seventh consecutive defeat at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup in Japan on Sunday, losing 3-1 to Tunisia who secured their first victory in the prestigious tournament.
The Egyptian team lost the first set 25-23, won the second set 25-14, before losing the third and fourth sets 25-17 and 25-18 respectively.
Egypt remains in tenth place on 8 points, ahead of Tunisia and Australia who lie in the bottom of the 12-place ranking table. Brazil leads the table with 26 points.
The Pharaohs' next game will be against Argentina on Monday at 10am Cairo local time (GMT+2).
Egypt won their first two matches against Australia and Iran, before losing seven straight.
The World Cup comprises 12 teams: Japan, Egypt, Italy, Russia, Poland, Iran, Australia, Tunisia, USA, Canada, Brazil and Argentina.
