Egyptian national team manager Bob Bradley hailed his squad after the 5-0 victory over Kenya in the friendly game held in the Pharaohs camp in Qatar.

"It was a good experience that really boosted us forward, enabling the technical staff to study the abilities of the players," the American told Ahram Online.

The team, who were missing Ahly players in addition to European-based Ahmed Elmohamady and Mohamed Zidan, delivered an impressive performance. The scorers were Mohamed Salah (10), Ahmed Hassan (18), Ahmed Eid Abdel-Malek (69), Ahmed Khairi (73) and Ahmed Abdel-Zaher (89).

"Results of such matches are not a big deal but the harmony between the team members is what concerns me," the former United States coach added.

The 53-year-old tactician also commented on the lack of mourning Ahly players, who dropped their national duties after they witnessed the Port Said disaster earlier this month, where 74 football fans were killed and hundreds injured in bloody clashes after a Masry league game.

"Ahly players will need some more time to move on after all they saw in Port Said and we understood that. They will certainly have a major rule in the future," Bradley concluded.

The Pharaohs are preparing for the qualifiers of the African Cup of Nations and the World Cup and they are set to play another two games during their trip, against Niger on 27 February and Uganda on 3 March.
