Ahly's Mohamed Magdi Afsha (Al-Ahram)
Ahly duo Walid Soliman and Mohamed Magdy 'Afsha' will have a fitness test before Tuesday's evening training to check their readiness for tomorrow's game against Tanta.
The attacking midfielder duo are now added to Ahly's injury list which includes most of the team’s key players and regular starters such as Ramadan Sobhi, Saad Samir, Hamdi Fathi, Aliou Dieng in addition to Hussein El-Shahat who is also doubtful.
Ahly’s veteran winger Soliman didn't start in the team's last game due to suffering from a calf fatigue directly before the game against Zimbabwe's FC Platinum in the fourth round of the Confederation of African Football (CAF)'s Champions League group stage, which ended 1-1.
Egyptian Premier League leaders Ahly are now in second place with 7 points in Group B in the CAF Champions League behind Tunisia's Etoile Sportive du Sahel, who lead the group with 9 points, meanwhile Al-Hilal of Sudan are third with 6 points and Platinum is in the last place with a single point.
At the same time, the Reds’ key player Afsha was substituted in the 46th minute of the game after he had suffered from a knee injury during the first half of Platinum's game.
Meanwhile, the 22-year-old Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng is expected to be seated for Tanta's game in the 13th round of the Egyptian Premier League, as he was injured in the Platinum match due to a dangerous tackle which made him leave in the 76 minute.
