Lille's Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is on the verge of completing a move to Italian side Napoli after passing a medical on Saturday, Nigerian media reported on Sunday.

According to the local reports, French side Lille have agreed a €80m deal but that personal terms between the player and the Serie A side are yet to be finalised as both sides are currently in intensive negotiations.

The report added that Osimhen could be unveiled as a Napoli player on Monday if they reached an agreement on outstanding terms.

Osimhen, who joined Lille in the summer of 2019 from the Belgian side RSC Charleroi, scored 13 goals and provided five assists in 27 Ligue 1 games.

Last month, the 21-year-old won the Marc-Vivien Foé prize, which is given to the best African player in the French Ligue 1, becoming the youngest player to win the award.

Osimhen has made eight appearances with Nigeria, scoring four goals.
