Raja Casablanca coach Jamal Salami announced on Sunday that he is currently only focusing on winning the CAF Champions League title regardless of the tournament's format.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced last week that the Champions League semi-final will return to its two-leg format instead of the one-leg format recently approved by the CAF.

"The Champions League system won’t cause a problem for Raja, as we are ready to complete the tournament in any format," Raja Casablanca coach was quoted as saying on Morocco's website le360 sport.

"Our current main target is to beat Zamalek as well as reach the CAF Champions League final game," Salami added.

"Raja players returned to full training within preparations for the continental games.

"We want to win the titles of all three tournaments that we are playing in: the Champions League, Morocco's domestic league and the Arabian Championship," the Raja coach added.

Raja will face a vital African Champions League semi-final clash against Egypt's Zamalek in September.

All continental sports activities have been suspended since March due to the coronavirus pandemic, including the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup, which were originally scheduled to be played on 1 May.

Prior to the CAF competitions’ postponement, Egypt’s big names Ahly and Zamalek had been set to play the Champions League semi-finals against Moroccan sides Wydad de Casablanca and Raja de Casablanca respectively.
