Egypt defender Mahmoud Alaa has signed a contract extension with Zamalek that will keep his tied at the Cairo giants until 2024, the club announced on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old joined Zamalek in the summer of 2017 from Wadi Degla on a five-year contract that runs until 2022.
Alaa established himself a key player in the team's defence and even showed great scoring abilities for a centre back, scoring 32 goals in 109 appearances so far.
He won African Confederation Cup title, two Egypt Cup titles, an Egyptian Super Cup and African Super Cup title.
The international defender has 11 caps with the Pharaohs.
Moreover the club announced that defender Mohamed Abdel-Ghani has also extended his contract until 2024.
Abdel-Ghani joined Zamalek in January 2018 from FC Masr.
