Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel said Sunday that everyone at the west London club is under pressure from owner Roman Abramovich but insisted they should respect the his decisions.
Russian billionaire Abramovich has the reputation for hiring and sacking coaches. Roberto di Matteo, who replaced sacked coach Andreas Villas-Boas, has become the Blues' eighth coach since Abramovich took over at the club in 2003.
"It has been a difficult season and you can question the owner, but he wants results and he wants to win trophies. If things are not right it is his money, his team, so he has the right to change things. And I think we all respect that,'' Mikel was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
"Tomorrow, if he says he wants to get rid of us players and wants to get new ones, then we will respect him. It is his money, his business.
"Now Robbie is boss, we all have to respect this. The team comes first and whoever is playing we have to respect that as well,'' He added.
Mikel has been one of Chelsea's regular players since joining from Norwegian club Lyn Oslo in 2005 after a famous transfer wrangle between the club and Manchester United.
