The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced that there are three new coronavirus cases among the national team delegation to Togo, including Olympiacos' striker Ahmed Hassan Kouka.

Kouka is the third national team player who has been infected with COVID-19 after the announcing on Friday of Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah testing positive, as well as Arsenal’s Mohamed El-neny who also tested positive on Monday ahead of the away game against Togo.

“The results of the swabs conducted for the members of the first national team this morning, upon its return from Togo, showed the negative results of all members of the mission except for three whose results came back positive, namely: Ahmed Hassan Kouka, Shadi Gilani, media coordinator of the team, and Muhamad Abdo, the team's masseur,” EFA published a statement on its official Facebook page.

The Pharaohs defeated Togo 1-0 at a home match on Saturday before winning 3-1 again in the fourth round of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations' qualifiers against Togo at Kegue stadium on Tuesday.
