Egypt have been tied with Brazil in the 2012 London Olympic draw announced today to be in Group C that also includes Belarus and New Zealand.

The draw was held Tuesday morning in Wembley Stadium in London.

The key players of the Under-23 squad clashed with Brazil in the last Youth World Cup and they were able to end the match with a 1-1 draw.

Under the guidance of coach Hani Ramzy, the Young Pharaohs won their ticket to the Olympic games after finishing third in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) championships, held in Morocco.

It will be their first tournament after 20 years of absence. Their last appearance was in 1992 in Barcelona, where they lost against Spain and Qatar, though they defeated Colombia and failed to progress beyond the group stage.

The outcome of the draw is as follows:

GROUP A
Great Britain
Senegal
UAE
Uruguay

GROUP B
Mexico
Korea Republic
Gabon
Switzerland

GROUP C
Brazil
Egypt
Belarus
New Zealand

GROUP D
Spain
Japan
Honduras
Morocco
