Barnsley's veteran defender Bobby Hassell described the recent recruitment of Egyptian striker Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' as "unbelievable," adding that next season would be different for his side following a spate of new summer signings.
"We've made some great signings," Hassell told Barnsley’s website on Wednesday.
"Obviously, with Mido coming in, it's an unbelievable signing; he's coming to play under the right manager.
"The fans are looking forward to the new season. We still need two or three, which the gaffer will know," he added.
Last Thursday, Mido signed a one-year contract with English championship side Barnsley after being released by Zamalek at the request of Coach Hassan Shehata.
The 29-year-old striker – who has played for several European giants, including Ajax, AS Roma, Olympique de Marseille and Tottenham – will play his first-ever spell in a second division with Barnsley.
