Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo has said next Sunday's Clasico against Barcelona will be a "difficult task."
"We know it will be a very difficult and complicated match. We have to stay focused and confident that we will play well,” the 27-year-old was quoted as saying on the club's official website.
The Portuguese scored a hat-trick against Deportivo on Sunday, inspiring his team to a 5-1 win.
"We played well in the first and second halves and we were the deserved winners. We had to win this match to get more confidence. The most important thing is that all three goals helped the team to get the win. In every match I try to help more and more.
"We started the match a little bit uninterested, but after the Deportivo goal we woke up and we made a good comeback. It was important to keep going each time to score more goals. The team is good and we know we cannot lose any more points. We have managed an important victory."
The Meringues are sixth in the LA Liga table with only 10 points from six matches after they lost twice against Getafe and Sevilla, and drew once with Valencia. They are eight points behind archrivals Barcelona who are on the driving seat.
The forward also said Real Madrid’s match in Champions League against Ajax would be tough.
