Ahly striker Emad Meteb returned to training on Monday after having his kidney stones removed and he hopes to play in the second leg of the African Champions League semifinal against Nigeria's Sunshine Stars.

"I have completely recovered after my kidney stones problem so I am fit to join the team's regular training," Meteb was quoted as saying on Ahly's official website on Monday.

"I hope to take part in the match against Sunshine but it's the coach's decision," he added.

The six-time African Champions League title holders are preparing for the home match against Sunshine Stars on 21 October.

The 29-year-old hitman missed Ahly's 3-3 draw with Sunshine Stars in Nigeria because of kidney stones. The Egyptian giants are overwhelming favourites to reach the African Champions League final.
