Ahly manager Hossam El-Badry has asked the Cairo giants management to extend the stay of the first team's old players whose deals are set to expire at the end of the season.
"I asked Hassan Hamdy (Ahly's chairman) to extend the contract the team's six oldest players Hossam Ghaly 30 years old, Abou-Treika 33, Wael Goaa 37, Mohamed Barakat 36, Sherif Abdel-Fadil 29, Sayed Mowad 33, and Saad Samir," Ahly's tactician was quoted as saying on the club's official website.
"Those players' contracts will be expired at the end of the ongoing season," he added.
"I am eager to keep all the team's players in our squad as they did more with Ahly and helped the team win many trophies."
"The management couldn't think of offloading the oldest players," El-Badry concluded.
