ENNPI coach Tarek El-Ashry ruled out reports that he is in advanced talks with the Sudanese Football Association over leading the first football national team there.

"Negotiations with the Sudanese FA are not official, it is only informal talk with officials there," El-Ashry told Al Ahram's Arabic Portal on Thursday. "These talks with me may be seen as initial hopes from members of the Sudanese FA," the former Haras El-Hodoud added. "If I received a formal offer from the Sudanese FA, I will consider it -- especially after the Egyptian Premier League suspension."All domestic football activity has been suspended since February when scores of spectators died in clashes between rival fans at the Port Said Stadium.

The former Haras El-Hodoud coach, who spent seven years with the military club, helping them to clinch two national cups in 2009 and 2010, as well as the Egyptian Super Cup in 2009, took the charge of ENNPI last summer.
