Egypt's Zamalek will play a friendly match against Germany's Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach on 11 January, the team’s coach Jorvan Vieira said on Tuesday.
"We have officially agreed to play a friendly match with Borussia Monchengladbach on 11 January in Dubai," Zamalek's Brazilian tactician Vieira said on the club’s official website.
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced Saturday that it will launch the new Premier League season on 2 February after a Saturday meeting between Egypt's sports and interior ministers.
Zamalek were drawin in Group B along with Ismaily, Dakhleya, Ittihad of Alexandria, El-Inttag El-Harby, Ittihad Al-Shorta, Petrojet, Talae El-Geish and Arab Contractors.
Borussia Monchengladbach lies eight in the Bundesliga table with 25 points, 17 behind leaders Bayern Munich.
