Egypt squash star and World number one Ramy Ashour will miss the World Series Finals that kicks off today in London due to injury, English media revealed on Wednesday.
Ashour clinched the World Champion and World number one titles after winning a dramatic five-game final against co-patriot Mohamed El-Shorbagy in the all-Egyptian World Squash Championship final in Doha, Qatar last month.
The top eight points earners in the PSA and WSA World Series events of 2012 compete in the World Series Finals.
Egypt will be still represented in the tournament as Mohamed El-Shorbagy No. (5), Amr Shabana No. (8) and Karim Darwish No.(6) will be competing in Men's contest.
Raneem El Weleily and Nour El Sherbini will compete in the women's competitions.
