AC Milan’s Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari said on Wednesday he is eager to return to action quickly after a long period of absence due to several injuries.
The 27-year-old sustained a serious knee injury during the off season that sidelined him for five months.
After recovering from his knee injury last December, the Ghanaian midfielder was pegged by a calf injury that prolonged his spell on the sidelines.
“I cannot wait to come back. I have been out of action for a long time, just watching my team-mates and now it is time for me to join the first team again, to help out and do well,” Muntari told Milan Channel.
“I came back quickly from the knee injury but then had problems with my calf and thigh.
“I was a little angry with myself but I know my time will come and when it does hopefully I will keep my place and I really hope to help the team,” he added
