“I am happy to be in Al-Merreikhand. I am looking forward to winning championships with them,” El Hadary revealed on his website.

The Pharaohs’ goal keeper left the Egyptian Premier League early this season after a clash with the Zamalek club’s former coaching staff.

“All reports linking me with a move to one of the Egyptian league clubs is not logical because all football activities are still paused there due to the current circumstances,” he added.

On 12 February, the 3-time African Cup of Nations champion ended his four-month suspension. He moved from Egyptian Ahly Club to Switzerland’s FC Sion in 2008 and battled in FIFA courts before he was given the suspension for the illegal move.

“I am so excited about starting the Sudanese competition next Saturday against Al-Hilal and I am hoping that I can guard the Egyptian net against South Africa in the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifiers” he concluded.
