Egypt defender Ahmed Hegazy completed a full training session at Fiorentina on Monday after making a full recovery from knee ligament surgery last December.

The 21-year-old defender was seriously injured during the Violas’ training earlier in December and had to undergo surgery a few days later.

Hegazy, who joined Fiorentina last summer coming from Ismaily, told local media that he took part in the entire training session on Monday morning and that he should be fit for the games within a few days.

The Pharaohs defender was given the green light earlier this month to participate in trainings as he is recovering well and now he is fit for a full training.

Hegazy will hope to bounce back quickly in the team's lineup as he had just made his debut with the team three weeks before being sidelined with the injury.

Fiorentina have been struggling at the back, conceding 42 goals in 33 matches. Coach Vincenzo Montella is likely to welcome back Hegazy in defence in his bid for a Champions League spot.
