Egypt's U-20 team held to a 2-2 draw against Romania in a Monday friendly match amid preparations for the U-20 World Cup.

The Egyptian team is currently holding a training camp to prepare for the prestigious tournament, which will kick off on 21 June.

Two first-half goals by Ahmed Hassan 'Koka' and Mahmoud Hassan 'Trezeguet' gave the young Pharaohs an early lead.

But they failed to maintain their dominance, with Romania scoring two goals of its own in the second half.

The Egyptian team is now scheduled to take on Uzbekistan and Pakistan on 5 and 8 June.

The 2013 African champions will then play against Brazil and New Zealand in final warm-up games on 12 and 17 June.

The Egypt squad will be cut down to 21 players ahead of the World Cup.

Egypt's youth team has been paired with Chile, England and Iraq in Group E.
