Veteran playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika was named in Ahly's 18-man squad for Wednesday's clash against arch-rivals Zamalek in the African Champions League group stage.
It will be the first appearance for the 35-year-old with the Red Devils after returning from a short loan spell at Emirati side Bani Yas.
Abou-Treika, who is arguably one of Egypt's best-ever footballers, is the top scorer of Cairo derbies with 11 goals, one ahead of teammate Emad Meteb, who will miss Wednesday's game due to a persistent back injury.
Winger Ahmed Fathi was also included in the roster returning from a six-month lean stint with Hull City, who earned promotion to the elite English Premier League.
The Group A clash will be played at a tiny 12,000-seat stadium in the Red Sea resort of El-Gouna .
The game was initially due to be played on Sunday, but it was delayed to Wednesday due to marketing reasons.
