Fiorentina's Egyptian defender Ahmed Hegazy expressed his confidence that he would earn a regular place in the starting line-up of Italian Serie A side next season.
Hegazy, who joined Fiorentinathe last summer, had made a few appearances with the club before suffering a serious knee injury last December that sidelined him for five months.
"I played in Fiorentina's pre-season matches and coach [Vincenzo] Montella expressed his delight with my performances during those games," Hegazy was quoted as saying by Ahram Sports.
The Italian side are looking for new defenders to strengthen their backline, but the Egyptian international said he is ready for any competition.
