Welcome to Ahram Online’s live coverage of a replayed African Champions League clash between title holders Ahly of Egypt and Cameroon’s Coton Sport at the Omnisports Roumde-Adja Stadium in Garoua.
The match took place on Saturday but only lasted until the hour mark when torrential rain forced Zambian referee Jan Sikazwe to call it off and delay it for 24 hours, in accordance with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) regulations.
The match was cancelled with the score 0-0 and Ahly dominating, with the visitors having a couple of goal-scoring chances denied by Coton’s keeper.
Ahly's players and technical staff members appeared frustrated with the decision of postponing the match, given that they had the upper hand before the game was halted.
The Red Devils are favourites to advance to the final, where they will meet either Esperance of Tunisia or South Africa's Orlando Pirates, who face off in the other semi-final clash.
