After a 23-day break, the Egyptian football league is set to resumes its ninth week today with 3 matches. The most important clash will be in Cairo, where Enppi host their counterpart, El-Masry. The petroleum-sponsored club is eager to win in order to keep their hopes alive for this year's title race, while the guests arrive confident but with a need to prove themselves after preparing their players in 4 successful friendly matches. Enppi are third in the table with 13 points, while El-Masry are just a point behind, at fifth place. In Alexandria, Smouha will do their best to clinch their first win this season, when they take on Misr Elmaqasah. Smouha are at the bottom of the table with only 3 points, while Misr Elmaqasah have accumulated 8 points, bringing them to the 11th place. Smouha's French coach Patrice Neveu was successful in curing the team's problems during their recent 3 friendlies and is in a must-win situation if he wants to keep his job. Finally, El-Entag El-Harby will have a proper opportunity to move clear on top if they overcome the newly promoted side, Wady Degla. On Tuesday Alexandria will witness its biggest derby as Haras El-Hodoud takes on Ittihad of Alexandria at El Max Stadium. The rest of the week’s games will be held on Wednesday with four matches to be played as follows: Ismaily- Tala Al-Gaish Petrojet- Ahly Zamalek- Ittihad El Shorta Arab Contractors-Gouna
