Ahly have secured international midfielder Abdallah El-Said until 2017. The player agreed to a three-year extension to his current contract, set to expire next July.
According to Ahram Sports, El-Said will officially ink the new deal after participating in the Club World Cup in Morocco this month.
Ahly announced that continuing contracts talks would be reserved for after the final competition of the year to avoid disturbing the players, but apparently an exception was made in El-Said's case.
The 28-year old midfielder has been a key player in Ahly's formation since joining the team from Ismaily in 2011.
El-Said has helped Ahly to two Champions League titles, and he is set to have an increasing role in the team lineup after the anticipated retirement of iconic playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika.
