Zamalek former play maker Gamal Hamza
Former Zamalek playmaker Gamal Hamza has officially joined Egyptian Premier League outfit Haras El-Hodoud as a free agent on a one-and-a-half year deal, the military side announced.
Haras El-Hodoud coach Abou-taleb El-Esawy intends to include the new signing to the team's squad that will face Beni Suef Telephones in the Egyptian Premier League on Tuesday.
Thirty-two-year-old Hamza forward, who came from the youth ranks of Zamalek, plied his trade at Zamalek until 2009, before he joined Bundesliga side Mainz.
After fitness problems prematurely ended his sole European adventure at Mainz, Hamza returned to Egypt in 2010 upon joining coastal side Gouna, where he produced a host of commendable performances, scoring five goals in 19 appearances.
In 2013 the former Zamalek playmaker joined Baia Zugdidi but terminated his contract with the Georgian team to to become free agent, before joining Haras El-Hodoud in the winter transfer window.
