Roma's Ivorian forward Gervinho heaped praise on his teammate and club legend Francesco Totti, who helped him to shine.

The 26-year-old Ivorian scored twice in Roma's 3-2 win over Napoli in Coppa Italia's semis last week.  

"I really am happy to play with Totti," Gervinho was quoted as saying by Football Italia on Tuesday.  

"He is not someone who speaks that much but he knows that saying good things about me has given me great motivation.

"Thanks to his assists I have had good opportunities to score," he added.

The international forward produced a string of strong displays with Roma this season, scoring five goals in 17 matches.
