Zamalek coach Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' has expressed his satisfaction with their 3-2 victory over Wadi Degla on Wednesday.

The match was rescheduled from the 10th matchday of the season.

"Wadi Degla are a very talented team with very good players and the match was really tough," the former Zamalek, Ajax and Wigan star said after the game.

"My strategy is focused on having three strikers -- Ahmed Ali, Arafa El-Said and Dominic Da Silva -- to put opposition defences under pressure," Mido added.

The 32-year-old tactician praised young players Youssef Ibrahim and Mostafa Fathi, saying they were "very promising with a bright future at Zamalek."

The club, who are bidding for their first domestic league title since 2004, are now fourth in Group B with 19 points, seven adrift of leaders Petrojet, who have played two games more.

Mido backs keeper El-Sayed

Mido has backed experienced goalkeeper Abdel-Wahed El-Sayed after his recent solid performances.

"We don't need new goalkeepers because El-Sayed is delivering his best season ever, and this qualifies him for another season at the club," Mido told an Egyptian television programme on Wednesday.

The 34-year-old signed a three-year extension to his contract two years ago, which will keep him at the Whites until 2015.

Hossam has announced the team needs new five players in the upcoming season.
