After their 2-1 away loss to AS Vita Club of DR Congo in the first game of CAF Champions League groups stage, Zamalek coach Ahmed 'Mido' Hossam has vowed the team will not repeat the same mistakes in the upcoming fixtures.
Zamalek's Champions League campaign was dealt a blow on Sunday after their loss in the group stage opener.
The Cairo giants are scheduled to host Sudanese side Al-Hilal in the second game of the group stage on Saturday.
"The Al-Hilal game is a live or die encounter for us," Mido told reporters after the game.
"We won't drop any points during the coming games," he added.
Zamalek will arrive in Cairo from DR Congo on Wednesday to start preparations for the Al-Hilal game.
Mido will stay despite loss
Zamalek chairman Mortada Mansour has confirmed that rookie coach Ahmed Hossam will continue in his post despite Sunday's loss.
"The management are supporting the technical staff during the coming period despite the 2-1 loss to Congo's AS Vita Club," Mansour told a television programme after the game.
"There were mistakes in AS Vita Club game and we will work to avoid them in the coming games," he added.
