Ahly midfielder Ahmed Khairy has been included in the squad for Sunday's match against Etoile Sportive du Sahel.
The Cairo giants will be hosted by their Tunisian counterparts in the second match of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
On Wednesday morning, Ahly coach Fathi Mabrouk announced a 22-man squad for the match.
Khairy was included despite a muscular injury he picked up during Tuesday's 2-1 friendly win over Toukh.
Striker El-Sayed Hamdy was included in the squad despite suffering from muscular fatigue.
Playmaker Mohamed Nagy 'Gedo' and winger Sayed Moawad were included after recovering from injuries, but injured midfielder Hossam Ashour was left out.
After beating Zambia's Nakana 2-0 in the first round last week, Ahly hope a win in Tunisia will keep them on track to become the first Egyptian side to win the Confederation Cup, Africa's secondary club competition.
Ahly, record winners of the Champions League with eight titles, are now top of Group B with three points, while Etoile are second with a single point.
