The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) suspended Ahly fullback Bassem Aly for one- month and ordered him to pay a LE77,000 fine signing for both Zamalek and Ahly at the same time.

Ahly announced last summer the signing of the former Arab Contractors' player but Zamalek filed a complaint with the EFA, claiming that he had already signed for the White Knights.

"Bassem Aly was suspending for a month for violating the 11th article of the player affairs regulations,'' read a statement on the EFA official website one Wednesday.

According to the EFA statement, Aly's ban starts at the first of the month.

The fullback will miss Ahly's upcoming clashes against Ragaa, Ittihad El-Shorta, Ismaily and Asyoty Sport respectively.
