Ahly coach Juan Carlos Garrido asks for fair referees for his team's coming matches after Monday's draw against Assiouty Sport.
The Cairo giants continued their poor start of the season against league rookie Assiouty Sport, drawing 0-0 and falling to 13th place in the table with only five points after four games.
With a goal disallowed, a penalty turned down and a red card for their talisman Walid Soliman, the defending champions lived through a nightmare afternoon and the referee was the one to be blamed.
"We were better than Assiouty Sport and we dominated the match but we had a lot of missed chances, a problem that we should avoid in the coming matches," Garrido said in the press conference after the match.
"Some players didn't follow our instructions. Also the fatigue and the bad pitch affected us negatively.
"The referee is a main reason behind the draw. We want fair referees for the coming matches," he added.
Ahly's football director Wael Gomaa said that the technical staff asked the club's board to take an action against the football association to put an end for "successive unfair" decisions by the referees in recent matches.
