Ismaily's veteran midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou will be out for months after tearing a cruciate knee ligament, the club said on Sunday.
The Egyptian international, 30, sustained the injury during Ismaily's 1-0 win over Al-Nasr in the Egyptian Premier League on Saturday.
This is the third time Abd-Rabou, who usually plays as a holding midfielder, picks up that injury.
Ismaily midfielder Mahmoud Metwaly has also suffered a similar injury, the club doctor said.
The two players will undergo surgeries that will sideline them until the end of this season.
