The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Monday revealed the seeds for the second round of the Confederation Cup's round of 16, ending speculation on a possible all-Egyptian clash between Ahly and Zamalek.
Another round of 16 is to be played after the eight teams eliminated from the Champions League joined the Confederation Cup.
Ahly were eliminated from the Champions League round of 16 after their 4-3 loss on penalties against Morocco's Moghreb Tetouan, following a 1-1 aggregate draw.
Zamalek reached the second round of the Confederation Cup round of 16 following a 3-2 win on aggregate over Morocco's FUS.
According to the rule, first-seeded Ahly will face an opponent from the fourth seed, while third-seeded Zamalek will face a side from the second seed.
The draw for this round is to be held in Cairo on Tuesday.

First seed: Ahly, Esperance de Tunis (Tunisia), Club Sfaxien (Tunisia) and Leopard (Congo)
Second seed: Raja (Morocco), Stade Malien (Mali), S.M Sanga Balende (DR Congo) and AS Kaloum (Guinea)
Third seed : Zamalek, Etoile Sportive du Sahel (Tunisia), Orlando Pirates (South Africa) and Vita Club (Congo)
Fourth seed: Club Africain (Tunisia), ASEC (Ivory Coast), Hearts of Oak (Ghana) and Warri Wolves (Nigeria)
