After losing 2-0 to Haras El-Hodoud in the final matchday of the Egyptian Premier League on Saturday, Ismaily have terminated the contract of their coach Tarek Yehia.
"Ismaily management headed by Mohamed Aboul-Saud thanks coach Tarek Yehia for the time he spent with the team," read a statement on Ismaily's official website.
The Dervish lost their last two games to Zamalek 3-0 a week before the loss to Haras El-Hodoud.
Ismaily are 6th in the league table with 55 points. They were docked six points due to a FIFA order this season.
"The decision to sack coach Tarek Yehia was taken after the team's poor results in the Egyptian Premier League," the statement added.
Former Zamalek winger Yehia was appointed Ismaily coach last February, replacing Brazilian coach Ricardo.
Ismaily are scheduled to face relegated side Ragaa in the round of 16 in the Egypt Cup on 22 July.
