Skilful Zamalek trio Ayman Hefni, Mostafa Fathi and Hazem Emam will be unavailable for two weeks 'due to lack of rest', according to the club's doctor.
Hefni, sidelined by a hamstring injury, needs more time to recover. He will miss Zamalek's upcoming Confederation Cup tie away to Tunisia's Sfaxien.
Marauding right-back Emam is nursing a calf problem, having missed the Egypt Cup quarter-final win over Alexandria's Ittihad. He too has been ruled out of the trip to Sfaxien.
Fathi was available for Zamalek in their Egypt Cup campaign, where he bagged a brace in the 3-1 win over Harras Hodoud in the last 16. However, team doctor Ayman Farid says that the tricky forward needs rest after picking up a muscle strain.
'Hefni, Emam and Fathi are in dire need of a two week rest,' Zamalek doctor Ayman Farid told the club's official website.
'I will submit a report to the team's management, recommending the trio take some rest after a hectic season,' he said.
Zamalek will have to do without the trio against Sfaxien, where the Cairo giants need only a point to book a semi-final berth in the Confederation Cup.
