Zamalek technical staff announced that the team's players are ready for their Egyptian Premier League return with the Haras El-Hodoud game on Thursday.
It will be the first match for the new Brazilian coach Marcos Paqueta who started leading the Whites this month after the sudden exit of the Portuguese Jesualdo Ferreira.
"Paqueta is happy with the players' commitment and he is optimistic they will deliver good performances this season," Zamalek assistant coach Ismael Youssef told their official website.
"The Brazilian thinks players just need a longer timer to adapt to his tactical strategies and apply them correctly on the field," Youssef added.
The Cairo-based club who are heading to Alexandria on Wednesday afternoon to play the game are bidding for a second successive league trophy after they broke an 11-year jinx last season winning both the league and cup.
"Zamalek respect all opponents and our target during the Thursday game is to gain the three points," Youssef asserted adding that the absence of forward Bassem Morsi -due to injury- will not affect his squad strength.
Zamalek are sixth on the league table with 10 points from four matches, eight behind leaders Maqassa who have played four games more.
Their games in the Egyptian Premier League have been recently suspended due to the players' Olympic commitments.
