The EFA announced on Wednesday that it signed a deal with marketing agency Promo AD worth LE52.75 million for the coming two seasons.

“A contract was signed today after a meeting involving EFA chairman Samir Zaher and Promo AD’s legal representative Amr Afifi,” the Egyptian governing body said in a statement on its official website.

“The marketing agency has already paid 5.8 million, which is the first instalment of the deal. A news conference will be held on Sunday 7 August to disclose all the details.”

According to the deal, Promo AD will be responsible of finding a sponsor for the Egyptian Cup, the country’s secondary domestic competition, during the coming two seasons.

The deal does not include the sponsorship rights of the Egyptian Premier League.

Mobile operator Etisalat sponsored the Egyptian Cup during the past few seasons.
