Zamalek star Mahmoud Abdel-Razek "Shikabala" has confirmed that he is committed to his new contract that ties him with the Whites until 2014.
“There is no rift with the club board. I am committed to the new contract,” the Pharaohs star told Zamalek’s official website.
Earlier in July, Zamalek announced that Shikabala is not leaving the club after activating the previous four-year contract he signed last year with the former board.
It was reported that the player lodged a complaint against the club asking to not activate the new contract, but now he totally denies these rumours.
“I did not file a complaint against the club, neither with the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) or the international association [FIFA],” the 25-year-old player clarified.
“The lawyer who filed a complaint before the EFA has no official proxy and I am not responsible for any statements released by him,” he concluded.
